Online Cold, Flu & COVID Care
Talk to a Doctor Today

Cough, congestion, sore throat, fever, or a positive COVID test? See a licensed provider by video across Massachusetts and New Hampshire for $79 flat. We'll assess your symptoms, recommend treatment, and check whether you're a candidate for a COVID or flu antiviral when appropriate. (Additional charges may apply for related services.)

Symptoms We Help With

  • Cough, congestion, or runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Fever, chills, or body aches
  • Fatigue and headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • A positive at-home COVID or flu test

Can Cold, Flu & COVID Be Treated Online?

Yes — most respiratory illnesses are well managed by video. A licensed provider reviews your symptoms and history, recommends supportive care, and — for flu or COVID — may prescribe an antiviral (such as oseltamivir for the flu, or Paxlovid for COVID) when you're eligible and treatment is started early. Antivirals work best in the first days of symptoms, so don't wait to be seen. Antibiotics don't treat viruses like colds, the flu, or COVID; we'll only consider one if a bacterial complication develops. In Massachusetts a good-faith exam is required first and can be done by telehealth.

When You Should Be Seen In Person (or Go to the ER)

Call 911 or go to the ER right away for:

  • Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Bluish lips or face, confusion, or trouble staying awake
  • Not being able to keep fluids down, or signs of dehydration

If you're at higher risk (older age, pregnancy, or a chronic condition) and getting worse, we'll help you decide between a video visit, our Chelmsford office, or the ER.

How It Works

  1. 1Book online — visits often start in under 5 minutes.
  2. 2Talk with a provider by video or secure message about your symptoms.
  3. 3Get your plan — supportive care, an antiviral or other prescription to your pharmacy when appropriate, and what to watch for.

$79 — No Insurance Needed

A RapidMDNow virtual visit is $79 flat, no insurance required (we also accept most commercial plans). No waiting room, no facility fees. (Additional charges may apply for related services such as labs or an in-person follow-up.) We're a real Massachusetts practice led by Dr. Ajay Nanavati — if you need in-person care, we're right here in Chelmsford. See our virtual urgent care page for everything else we treat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get Paxlovid for COVID online?+

Possibly — Paxlovid is for people at higher risk for severe COVID and works best when started within the first few days of symptoms. A provider will review your symptoms, risk factors, and medications, and prescribe it to your pharmacy if you're eligible.

Can I get Tamiflu for the flu?+

When appropriate — antivirals like oseltamivir (Tamiflu) can shorten the flu if started early. A provider will check whether it's a good fit and send it to your pharmacy.

Do I need a test first?+

A positive at-home COVID or flu test helps, but isn't always required — a provider can assess your symptoms and advise on testing. For COVID/flu antivirals, knowing which virus you have matters, so we'll talk it through.

Will I get antibiotics?+

Not for a cold, flu, or COVID — those are viral and antibiotics won't help. We'd only consider one if a bacterial complication develops, and we'll explain why.

How much does it cost?+

$79 flat for self-pay; we also accept most commercial insurance. (Additional charges may apply for related services.)

Who can use this?+

Anyone physically located in Massachusetts or New Hampshire at the time of the visit.
