Who can prescribe

All prescriptions issued through RapidMDNow are written by U.S.-licensed physicians (MD/DO) credentialed in the state where the patient is located at the time of the visit. We currently serve patients physically present in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Prescriptions are sent electronically to a licensed U.S. pharmacy of the patient's choice via Surescripts.

Clinical visit required

A medication is only prescribed after a real-time clinical encounter (video or in-person) in which the clinician establishes a doctor–patient relationship, collects a relevant medical history, and determines that the medication is appropriate, safe, and medically necessary. We do not fill prescription requests submitted through forms without a visit.

We do NOT prescribe online:

  • Controlled substances of any DEA schedule (e.g., opioids, benzodiazepines, stimulants such as Adderall, ketamine, testosterone, medical cannabis).
  • GLP-1 weight-loss medications through compounded or non-FDA-approved sources.
  • Medications that require in-person monitoring, lab work, or specialist oversight we cannot provide.
  • Any medication where, in the clinician's judgment, telehealth is not safe or appropriate. In those cases we will refer you for in-person care.

What we do treat

Common conditions appropriate for telehealth, including: cold & flu, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, skin conditions, allergies, minor injuries, medication refills for stable chronic conditions (non-controlled), routine primary care follow-ups, and mental-health visits within our clinicians' scope of practice.

Pharmacy & sourcing

RapidMDNow does not sell, dispense, or ship medications. We do not operate an online pharmacy. Prescriptions are sent to the licensed U.S. pharmacy of your choice. We do not partner with overseas pharmacies and we do not promote or recommend purchasing prescription medication without a valid prescription.

Emergencies

Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For mental-health crises, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

Verification & complaints

Physician licenses can be verified through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and the New Hampshire Board of Medicine. To report a concern, contact us at info@rapidmdnow.com or call 978-393-3063.
